Last week, the University of Montenegro officially launched a Montenegrin language course for international students, organized by the International Relations and Mobility Office in collaboration with Assistant Professor Dr. Petar Božović from the Faculty of Philology.

The course is designed for international students staying in Montenegro within the Erasmus+ credit mobility programme. This semester, more than 20 students from various European countries are attending the course, gaining the opportunity to deepen their understanding of Montenegrin culture, customs, and social life through language learning.

Learning the Montenegrin language is not limited to acquiring basic linguistic skills—it also provides insight into the cultural context of Montenegro. Through this course, students can integrate more easily and quickly into their new environment.

The International Relations and Mobility Office emphasizes that this programme represents an important part of the University of Montenegro’s ongoing efforts to strengthen internationalization and promote cultural diversity.
